Happy 4th Of July

I know it's been awhile but believe it or not i am still taking classes for my job. I hope you all don't get discouraged. I wanted to wish all of you a Happy 4th and thought you might like to see some pictures around the house. Remember the table, it's now on my porch, found this old milking bucket out antiquing and thought i would fill it with black-eyed susan. After i did this i realized it matched the table. Great Deals

Found this table for $15.00 and decided i would put it in my bathroom, the little boy statue i found at the goodwill for .50 cents. The table has iron feet and it has years of patina on it. I love browns and creams together.

Around The House

I found a place for my white table, in my kitchen but my husband not to keen on the idea. I told him we will leave it for a while to see if we like it. He likes everything clean and sparing, me the more the merrier. Also the cabinet and the arrangement is over my toilet in the bathroom. The shaving cabinet is a 1800's piece i found at an auction awhile back the arrangement i did myself. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!!!

I hope everyone had a good Mother's Day! I thought i would treat myself for Mother's Day bought a table on sale for $20.00. It's a firescreen table. This will go on my front porch between 2 antique wicker rockers. Now i will have a place to set drinks. This can also be used in front of your fireplace during the summer.

Perennial Garden

I have really gotten into more gardening this year and landscaping. I'm getting ready to take a spot on the side of my house were there are big trees and nothing grows under it and plant a perennial garden with large rocks and a rusty patina bird bath, i have also found a fountain that i want for a place between my house and garage. These are some of the flowers that will be planted.

Dogwood In Bloom

After work today, I decided to take some pictures, I notice in the back yard all the leaves and dogwoods in bloom. It just was so peaceful and the lake was shinning like diamonds. So relaxing after a day at work.

Farm Table Redo

Hope everyone had a great weekend, it has been so beautiful here. Thought i would share a project I did on this old farm table. The farm table had been orange and then they tried to paint it a brown color. I decided I wanted it to be cream, so I sanded and painted it with a cream satin paint and then distressed the heck out of it. I love the results. Now i don't know if i want to put it on my back porch, let my daughter have it as a desk or use it in my kitchen.

Flowers Good For Your Soul

Wow....What a busy week, sorry for not posting i have been really busy at work. I decided to visit some of our local nurseries today and just got so inspired to start yard work. I know my grandmother tells me don't plant anything until after May 10th, but I couldn't help my self.

Old Lamp

Wanted you guys to see this old lamp i bought at an estate sale. The little old lady had lots of lamps, but this one caught my eye. I just love the crystals hanging from it. This is in my foyer as you come in.

Thrifting On Thursday

At lunch today I decided I needed a little thirfting. I found this old metal plate "The Charms Of Country Living" and a small picture stamped Brooks and Streams. The sconce is heavy brass. I love how all of the golden rusty patina works together.

Love these pictures, I would like to have another pond someday. I had one at our old house, I did everything, I even dug all the dirt myself, gathered rocks of the side of the road to planting all the flowers. When we sold the house the one thing they talked about was my pond. It wasn't a large pond but very manageable.

Shopping After Work

Sorry I haven't been posting, but I have been in training for a new job with test every day and driving 2 hours a day I have been to tired. I have 4 more weeks, boy has my brain been challenged. On the way home today I needed some inspiring, so I did a little shopping and bought this cute stick thing, you can fold it up and you can put anything down in it. The bunny I couldn't resist. The flowers are down in a nest. I thought they looked so springy.
